Scenery And Landclass For Molokai, Hawaii (HI). This is a detailed landclass and scenery modification for the entire Island of Molokai. The island has been corrected for more realistic landclass textures and scenery. The houses and buildings are in their exact locations for most of the island. All of the airports have been corrected for errors and look more realistic. The VFR flying is now excellent. By Charles Reid.
This is a complete land class and scenery modification for the Island of Molokai. The entire island has been corrected for more realistic land class textures and scenery. The houses and buildings are in their exact locations for most of the this island.
Important note: I designed this scenery to be used with Ultimate Terrain X but a special file has been added for those who use the default scenery supplied by Microsoft.
Because Molokai has so many farms and country houses almost every house and building had to be added by hand. The standard autogen land class would have ruined the real look of Molokai.
Airports:
The Island of Molokai has four airports. PHMK: Molokai Airport, PHLU: Kalaupapa Airport, HI49: Panda Airport at Kaunakakai and 18HI: Brandt Field Airport.
I have made changes to correct errors for PHMK, PHLU, HI49 and have added the small air strip 18HI that was missing from FSX.
Hawaiian Seasons:
Another modification that has been incorporated into the design is a correction for seasonal changes in Hawaii. There is little or no seasonal change of foliage in Hawaii throughout the year. The default Microsoft seasons for Hawaii are incorrect. The modification included is in a separate folder and it will correct this problem for all of the Hawaiian Islands except the 'Big Island' which does not seem to need the correction.

***Installation***
NOTE:
Important:If you are using Ultimate Terrain X or FSGenesis Terrain Mesh, the Molokai Scenery and other folders must be at a scenery library level above Ultimate Terrain X and the FSGenesis Airport Terrain Adjustment Pack FSGATAP_US_HI. When you activate the Molokai scenery it will automatically be at the proper scenery library level. Do not move the Molokai scenery below the FSG Terrain Adjustment Pack or UTX.
Main Scenery Installation
Unzip the FSX_Molokai_LC file into a temporary folder.
Place the FSX_Molokai_LC folder into your FSX Addon scenery library folder.
Unzip the FSX_Molokai_LC file into a temporary folder.
Place the FSX_Molokai_LC folder into your FSX Addon scenery library folder.
Note_1: If you are using FSX_Maui_LC, it already has the windsock and seasons file folders. My Lanai_Kahoolawe_LC_Seasons file also contains the seasons folder. If you activated the seasons for either Maui or lanai it will not be necessary to activate the seasons in the Molokai folder. If you activated the Maui FSXrdr_Windsock and the seasons folders that came with the FSX_Maui_LC scenery you do not need to activate the Molokai windsock folder or the seasons folder. If you have not used the above files you will need to follow all of the following instructions.
Note_2: For those who use the default Microsoft Scenery without Ultimate Terrain X follow the next three steps. If you have UTX installed go to the windsock and seasons installation.
1. Delete the scenery folder called 'Scenery' located inside the main FSX_Molokai_LC folder.
2. Copy the file called 'Scenery' located inside the folder called 'Scenery for Microsoft Default Users'.
3. Paste that file into the main FSX_Molokai_LC folder. It replaces the scenery file that you deleted.
4. Now continue on to the Windsock and Seasons Installation.
Windsock and Seasons Installation:
Open the FSX_Molokai_LC folder and copy the Windsock FSX folder and the FSX_Hawaiian_Islands_Seasons folder into the FSX Addon scenery library folder.
You will now need to activate the the three folders in your FSX Addon Scenery Library.
You will now need to activate the the three folders in your FSX Addon Scenery Library.
1. Activate the Windsock Folder.
2. Activate FSX_Hawaiian_Islands_Seasons Folder.
3. Activate the FSX_Molokai_LC Folder.
The scenery has now been added to FSX.
Note: There will be no problem using GEX but some of the autogen buildings may not look the way I designed them to appear in the scenery.
Molokai turned out to be a rather large project and has a lot of scenery. It works well on my system but I have not tested it on other systems so I do not know how much of a FPS load the Molokai scenery will be on other computers. It should not be a problem.

Hi to all simulation enthusiasts! This time we bring what many people consider as an essential part for a photorealistic scenery, and not without reason. This is a BETA version so is not perfect yet and that is why is included in a download apart. The final version will include more accurate boundaries and more detail. It is now available with the other downloads (scroll down). To install it just copy / paste the texture folders in each of the corresponding volumes (Hawaii Photoreal Vols. 1, 2, 3) and overwrite the AGN files when asked for.
Also we show a preview of the buildings for Oahu currently imported into 3DS MAX, we have the main models/shape of the buildings, for the whole archipelago, so our next steps will be to adjust the height and make a photorealistic set of textures to fit this models.
I take this opportunity to remind you that Hawaii Plus version is included in the Flight Sim Jewels summer sale offer. We are a very small developing team and we greatly appreciate any kind of support.
Have a nice weekend,
Javier.
